Energideklaration: Sweden's mandatory building energy performance certificate. Required for all hotel properties at sale and at lease renewal. An improved Energideklaration rating is a documented property attribute that affects transaction value, lender terms, and the pool of qualified buyers.
Klimatklivet: The Swedish climate investment grant programme. Provides significant capital support for investments that reduce fossil fuel use. For Swedish hotel properties replacing oil or gas heating systems, Klimatklivet can cover a substantial proportion of the eligible installation cost. The programme is competitive and application-specific -- the audit output provides the documented baseline and technical specification the application requires. Applications are reviewed periodically; apply early.
Sweden's electricity market: Sweden has well-established time-of-use tariff structures and active grid services markets. The HNordic AI management system is designed to optimise against both -- charging storage during low-tariff overnight periods and dispatching during peak, and participating in grid services markets where confirmed and available.
Sweden has excellent wind resource for coastal hotel properties. The west coast, the Baltic islands, and elevated inland sites frequently have sufficient annual wind hours to justify a WindWhisperer installation alongside the battery storage, EV charging, and heating components. The energy audit includes a site assessment.
